Monterey

Monterey has always been a family favorite for a short getaway. My dad asked me if I wanted to go anywhere before I left, and that's where I said I wanted to go. It's an hour and a half drive from where I live at home, so it's not too close, not to far! Since it's also closer to the ocean, the temperature was also a lot cooler, which works for me!

I'm definitely gonna miss sunsets by the beach!

The beach has always been a place that helps make me feel insignificant. It's not a bad thing, it's actually a very good thing for me! It keeps me humble, and the insignificance of my existence to such a powerful force before makes me feel somehow that much more important and loved.

On the shores of Pebble Beach down 17 Mile!

It was a great way to wind down and relax. It was good to see the beach one more time, to bid adieu to the relentless and perpetual beating of the waves, and to feel the ocean breeze caress my face. Soaking all of it in made this a 2 day vacation I won't forget for a while.

Coming back from this mini vacation, it dawned on me that in less than a week, my residence in California is coming to an end. I couldn't help to feel a little bit antsy, with the feeling of "did I do the best that I could possibly do in the time that I have left here?" floating around in my head. For one of the first times, I think I am a little bit scared of moving. I realize a lot better now that my friends and family won't merely be a short drive away. Seeing them will require a more extensive amount of effort. I'm definitely going to miss my mom, dad, brother, sister, and dog.

I am truly blessed.

As scared and sad as I am, I can't deny the fact that adventure awaits me. And a pretty unique and awesome one at that. I feel like that kid who doesn't have a hiding spot, and the seeker is down to his last few seconds. There's no time to think anymore, it's all about doing it. Ready or not, here I come!! :) LET'S MAKE THE BEST OF IT!!
