With moving to a new place means that I will have to find a new place to live. Initially I thought I would first go to the city first and scope it out, but I realized that maybe this might prove to be inconvenient. So my hunt for a home began!
For those of you that don't know, there was a pretty major fire in Colorado Springs just a few weeks ago. If you don't know, don't worry too much about it! I feel like I may have been pretty clueless as well if it weren't for the fact that I was going to move in very soon! With that being said, finding a place has proven to be a lot more difficult than I thought, with vacancies either scarce or available only at later times.
It's a good thing I decided to go the route of just committing to a place, because who knows how long I would've had to wait had I gone there and begun looking! I thought it wouldn't be too difficult to find a place to live, and it's honestly not! The reason why it's been so hard is because I have discovered a few of my future coworkers that will be joining the company the same day as me, and I want to live close to them! And where they live (which is really close to where the workplace is) has packed up pretty tight.
After speaking with some of my coworkers about how they like their places (their opinions one-up internet reviews) I started making calls. Now it's a done deal: I have found a place and will be moving in July 6th! Although I had to pay a little bit of a premium for the place, it's an apartment complex that has at least 3 of my other coworkers in it, and it's only a mile and a half from my work place. For my first year out a new place, it's a price I'm willing to pay! And with the seal of this deal, the reality of Colorado inches one step closer!...
I can't help but feel a little bit nostalgic already.
