To include every detail would be a little tiresome, so I'll give the key points (in a semi-chronological fashion):
- I went to Chinese Heritage Camps and was a lead for 7th(?) grade. Met new counselors and got to hang out with a bunch of old ones.
- My parents came out to Colorado to visit me and see the fall foliage.
- A bunch of old college friends came out to visit me in Colorado and I had weekends filled with the outdoors and also (finally!) went to a Nuggets game.
- I got a lot more plugged into my church, and strengthened a lot of the friendships I made there.
- Got job offers in California from two different companies, giving me the unimaginable luxury of getting to PICK.
- Accepted one of those job offers, resigned from Ford Credit, and moved back to NorCal on Christmas Eve.
- Got to see old friends from college days in California.
- Am currently living at home with my parents relaxing and unpacking until my new job begins.
2016 was a year that I really strived to document as much of my life as I possibly could through the mediums of photography and videography. I have clocked in nearly 400 gigs of media in this year alone. Being a pretty private guy social media-wise, it was weird at times, but I'm sure one day I'll look back at it all and be happy I did what I did.
This lead me to think about what I wanted to achieve creatively in 2017. As much as it was great trying to rack up quantity of content in 2016, I found it tiresome sometimes. One thing I thought about was to redirect effort and attention back to music. I figured a good idea might be to make a single once a month. 12 months, 12 tracks, 1 EP. It's probably going to be a majority covers with a sprinkle of originals, but I think that'll be a great way to learn the finer details of recording music. To have a monthly deadline would also ensure that I was on a schedule of some sort. The details are all pretty unclear, and who knows, maybe after this post I'd think about this idea and say to myself "naw this is actually way too ambitious" or "I actually want to focus on another photography project."
But that's enough of that! Sorry if this was completely scrambled, but TL;DR - It's been crazy, it's been good, I'm back in California, and I might record music this year.
Oh, you want pictures?! Here ya go!

excited for your EP!
